After witnessing dozens upon dozens of NBA games live and on the television, you would think that I would have seen it all.
Well, during last night's Magic/Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 2, NBA referee Joe DeRosa got into a confrontation with an angry Orlando Magic fan.
Normally, Joe who give the ball the scorer's table but instead he decided to play a game of catch with the unruly fan before laying the hammer down.
If the fan is recognizable to you, that's Wyndham Vacations CEO Franz Hanning getting a little too close for comfort. Hanning was eventually moved to another seat and continued watching game two without incident.
The NBA has noted the event and as of this post has not placed a fine or suspension on referee Joe Derosa.
UPDATE: The NBA has suspended referee Joe Derosa for one game regarding this incident.
