Lamar Odom Gets A Skittles Machine, Seriously!

Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are overseas to play FC Barcelona on Thursday but I have a sinking suspicion that Lakers reserve Lamar Odom is eating something sweet.

Lamar's candy-chomping habit has become somewhat famous and even prompted the Wrigley company to send him a custom made vending machine stocked with Skittles.

We get more from the LA Times Lakers Blog:

Still, Odom does love his candy. As you can see in the photos, Odom now has a Skittles machine -- courtesy of Skittles -- and can satisfy his craving whenever he wants to experience the rainbow.

This is just one more gift with which Ron Artest can't compete. If you'll recall, Artest said he couldn't get a gift for Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian on their one-year anniversary because he couldn't afford it. "Their gifts are expensive," Artest said. "Every time I turn around, they got cars and diamonds."

Now, it's a candy machine. Odom received it last week, said a Wrigley spokesperson, with Skittles being a brand of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. Both Odom and Kardashian requested that the phrase "LKO's Sweet World" be inscribed on the machine. The spokesperson also shared this nugget: "Skittles recently sent him a custom vending machine that will be refilled regularly, doesn’t require coins and features a motion-operated voice recorder that tempts them with Skittles — in Lamar’s own voice (or whatever else he wants to record) — whenever someone walks by."
Why do I have a sinking suspicion that Phil Jackson is going to use his zen mind tricks to record something for Lamar when he is trying to grab some Skittles at 4am? I can picture it now:

*Lamar wakes up* (goes to the machine to get Skittles):

"Here are your Skittles Lamar, now make sure to double DeMarcus Cousins in the post and hustle for those rebounds".
