I use the mobile version of the Mac Rumors forums when Im away from my computer. In doing this I have discovered a slightly annoying bug. When replying to a new thread on the mobile forums it does not create a subscription that is viewable within my control panel on the 'full' site.
Am i doing something wrong? Or is this a known bug?

I still have two left. I'm surprised more people aren't interested, Spotify is the single best music resource I have ever found.

Honestly you'd be better off buying an intel mac mini, even the oldest intel one you could find would be better than the Powermac.
If you don't want to do that though, choose the Powermac. These things last forever so you won't need to replace the computer for a long time.

I recently saw a pc with OSX running on it. And that's neat. I'm mainly a Windows user but I've remained respectful to Apple hardware but I can't stand OSX. It's stable and it's easy to use but I much rather prefer the unrestricted control a knowledgeable user can have over Windows. Thus leads me to my question;
Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?

Apologies, the site is my own and is written in ASP. so no blogging etc, essentially something that will allow me to edit HTML page but with the ability to FTP download and reupload
If it's written in ASP then that means it's dynamic. Not going to be a whole lot you can do without using visual studio or something like frontpage.
I don't know of any WYSIWYG editors for the Mac that are familiar with ASP syntax.

was there a network change made at either locations of the computers? some routers do not support what is required for shared files and back to my mac

Top-10 positions are all well and good, but I want to see some real hord-core unit figures that fully show the penetration the iMac G5 is having.
Obviously I won't get that, but it's what I want anyway.

If you are into unrestricted conrol then your best bet is Unix/Linux - and OS X is a member of that family.
Windows will probably be able to run on the upcoming Intel-based Macs, although if you are planning on buying a Mac just to run Windows on it I think you need to re-examine your priorities - you'd be much better of building yourself a PC.

Nice shot, would be nice if there were less clouds around the mountain as it covers a lot of it up and is distracting. Plus would use just a very slight increase in vibrancy just to make the colours pop a bit more. also slightly increase contrast through Levels... again only a touch. that's only from my personal point of view though. We were experiencing some sluggishness yesterday and briefly took the front page down in order to reboot the server right at the time you reported the downtime. That seemed to have perked things up, but obviously we want to avoid having to reboot things. :)

hum, I might be banal but I don't care: my iPhone 4.
it helps me caught some cool pics & vids of my trip in Paris, in Rome and of Florence under an exceptional snow; it helps me keeping in touch with friends with FaceTime and it was very often my main source for infos & news, both @ home and abroad!

Amazing that a failure sold how many millions since it was launched? And how much money did Apple earn the last quarter? If this is failure, there are lots of companies that need to start producing a failure or two.

Yeah, I'm going to wait and order mine. I'm not rushing in to it. I'll order mine online also, unless I have good reason to pop in to town and buy the iPad2 from the local Bristol store. I'm still wondering if I really need it or not. Still deciding, but temptation is strong! :rolleyes:

I bought the first gen a year ago and never regretted it ( sold it on eBay before the new one was announced :-)) it is by far the best gadget I have ever owned and believe me I have tried many! I even had a brief flirtation with a Galaxy Tab over recent weeks - but it only took me a few days before I gave up and stuck it back on eBay! Once you have tasted Apple other fruits taste just bland ;-)
I can't wait to get the new one particularly for AirPlay with my Apple TV.
I would be going to Bristol if I wasn't working today. Hope that there might be one with my name on somewhere in London.
One last small point - can you veleive that Orange block this site on my iPhone because they say it is "adult content" that really annoys me - it wouldn't happen on my 3 SIM used in my iPad!
