UTC = University Town Center = La Jolla mall location of the :apple: store near UCSD.
The UCSD bookstore may remain closed for the Fri release party due to the fires, but it seems like the UTC :apple: store will be open.

I don't know about the 5 shirt thing, but what's UTC? School? I don't think they'll be giving out the shirts are a school bookstore. Just the Apple Store, AFAIK.

I haven't seen anything mentioned here as a decent game that's not also available in Japan. All they sell here are the Jap imports and they have all the "names" mentioned here...plus the Pokemon game everyone's on "pins and needles" for :p

Ive let it run down completely a couple times before but i havent had any visible changes. I could try lowering the brightness and turning off the push notifications. It still should'nt go down 5% battery for just a facebook update.

They just need to have another Us Fest, seriously. For those that don't remember, in the early 80s (before Apple lost it's cool, while Jobs and Woz were still a team) they laid down sod over part of the desert, had air-conditioned tents, and threw a rock festival in part for their employees and the press. This was two decades before Apple got into digital music... they knew how to throw a party :)

yeah i ran across that review when searching. it's only slightly faster though, and a little harder to overclock. but i bet it would be good at folding. i wonder if many people are using them?

I guess the eventual goal would be to make it more prominent and linked from various areas (macrumors, macbytes).

The DNA testing method is accurate, the EPO separation and testing is accurate, too, all scientifically waterproof to the roof.
He didn�t do anything to prove them wrong, just some rhetorics in that regard, noisy patriotic screaming live on CNN.
Don�t misunderstand me: I don�t hate Armstrong, but to me his behaviour seems to be troublesome at the least. Indeed he did nothing serious, nor anything productive and helpful to falsify those completely fact based accusations. Those results aren�t made up by the french because they hate him.

Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?
Windows is compiled for x86. Macs are currently PPC. The instruction sets are totally incompatible. This is the reason for Virtual PC.
Assuming you want to run a much less capable OS then you will have to wait for:
1) MS to compile Windows for PPC not x86 (this did used to happen)
2) Wait for Intel based Macs and hope for driver support/boot loader support (maybe January).

i'm currently using the cooler master Q keyboard. looks great with the brushed aluminum top. bottons feel like the old Ti g4 powerbooks.

I heartily agree, I even paid for a Pixmania card to get discounts and better service. It doesn't work, the discounts are only applied to special items.
As to service, what service? I bought a Nikon Coolpix that had a screen that failed after only 10 days. By the time I had an authorisation to return the item, not in my country but to their office in France, by the time they had sent it to Nikon to confirm there was a problem with the camera and eventually got a refund it took over three months! That was three months of complaining, writing to head office, what aggravation!

so, since you own it how do you feel about it? What was the last mouse you used and how does it compare? What is your honest opinion about its battery life and tracking ability? What mouse pad are you using if its something other than your normal average joe mousepad. I just installed a brand new hard drive into my 2009 mini and I am trying to install Snow Leopard. I don't want any of the files from the old HD. The install of the hd into the mini went fine (or so it appears) but when I try to install SL on the new hard drive it gets stuck at the window which asks which drive I want to install to. I never get an option for a drive so something is wrong. Any ideas?
