Thriller Ron Artest Will Blow Your Mind

As have been noted previously, That NBA Lottery Pick has a soft spot for crazy dude/Lakers forward Ron Artest.

However we must give props to video editor Matthew Shaffer who decided to remix some Ron Artest highlights with Michael Jackson's Thriller music video.

Dude deserves like a medal or something:

Scottie Pippen Gets A Statue, An Awesome Bronze Statue

This year has been a pretty good one for former Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen, he was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame and he is now going to be the proud owner of statue outside of the United Center.

We get more from the Chicago Sun-Times:

The Chicago Bulls announced today plans to unveil a bronze statue of Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen that will be displayed permanently in the United Center by the end of the 2010-11 season.

“Not only is Scottie Pippen one of the greatest players to ever wear a Bulls uniform, but he’s among the best players in history of the league to play the game,” said Bulls Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf. “He had a tremendous impact in bringing six world championships to Chicago and there is no better way to pay tribute to him than with a permanent statue that honors his inspirational career.”

The statue will be crafted by Omri and Julie Rotblatt-Amrany of Highland Park, Ill., who also sculpted the famous Jordan statue which was unveiled in January 1994 in conjunction with Jordan’s No. 23 jersey retirement.

“Words really can’t express my feelings,” Pippen said. “It’s an unbelievable honor and truly amazing. It’s something you dream of as a kid growing up, but you can never foresee those childhood fantasies becoming reality. You see statues of individuals who have done great things and made their mark on history, but as a basketball player, you never really think about arriving at this point. It’s an amazing honor for the Chicago Bulls to do this for me.”
Let's be honest getting a statue of yourself is pretty awesome, so congratulations to Scottie for receiving this honor and hopefully he'll be having a party.

Michael Jordan's Forgotten Wrigley Field Exhibition

A couple nights ago, ESPN debuted one of the movies in the on-going series called, "30 for 30", entitled, "Jordan Rides The Bus".

The film chronicled Jordan's time in the minor leagues with the Birmingham Barons after retiring from the National Basketball Association.

Although Jordan never suited up in an actual Major League Baseball game, he did play in a 1994 exhibition game at Wrigley Field between the Cubs/White Sox.

The below video includes highlights of Michael's day at Wrigley and an interview with legendary Cubs announcer, Harry Caray:

Lois Lane and Clark Kent

Here are some photos of Clark Kent (who will become Superman) and Lois Lane from Smallville (protrayed by Tom Welling and Erica Durance, who I think are the best actors who can pull off the characters than Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth from "Superman Returns").

Don't Worry Cleveland Cavs Fans, John Mayer Got Your Back!

On the list of people that I would think would have the backs of Cleveland Cavaliers fans, musician John Mayer wasn't them but I guess you can say that he is a folk-hero of sorts now.

Recently, Mayer performed at Blossom Music Festival in Cuyahoga county and promised Cavalier fans during an encore that he would wear his Cleveland Cavaliers jersey to a concert in Miami.

Man, I guess that Jessica Simpson's "sexual napalm" got to his head a little.

Lebron James Adds Mike Polk/Jim Florentine to Mental Note List

After awhile, I have begun to feel a little bad about the constant piling on about Lebron James leaving Cleveland for the Miami Heat.

However, if this continues to give me great content, I'm still for it. Recently two comedians, Jim Florentine and Mike Polk have been ripping Lebron in two different manners:

(To Note: These videos are so NSFW. Seriously, you could be fired for listening to these at work!)

Mike Polk decided to write a song about Lebron called, "Lebron James is a **tch":

Jim Florentine decided to pretty much make fun of Lebron's mom and Delonte West hooking up:
